I know that it has been a while since my last post, but a whole lot has been going on!
Went back to Kuwait and was settling back into our routine, when we find out that my visit visa was only for 30 days and not for 90, so we had to scramble around to figure what our plan of action was going to be. Thankfully we were able to get me a flight back to the states and a place for me to stay. Now came the fun part of figuring out what all paperwork needed to get done and sent off to get my dependent visa situated and in place. What a process that has been!
I had to take our marriage license down to Austin, to the secretary of state office, to have it verified that it is a marriage license issued by a county of Texas. Then I had to send all of that paperwork off to the U.S. state department for them to do the exact same thing. Once I got all of that back, I had to have it sent off to the Kuwait embassy to have them look it over and enter it into a system, then they put a stamp on the back of our marriage license and sent it right back to me.
And that is just the half way point of all the things I have to do!
I had to send all of the marriage license packet out to my husband in Kuwait and now he has his own To-Do list of things there. I then had to be poked and prodded by doctors to have blood tests done and a chest x-ray. Thinking that everything was going to be fine and I would be able to head back and see my husband in a few weeks, but unfortunately that was not in the cards.
Seems that I am a small percentage statistic………..figures……………
Somewhere along the way in all of our adventures, I caught something that I now have to be treated for before I can be with my husband. Life can sometimes get you down, but I am going to look on the bright side of this frustrating situation! Hoping that all goes well and that I will be able to spend the upcoming holidays with James!
